Union City Daycare Program
The Union City Day Care Program is a non-profit, private early childhood development and child care institution. The program comprises Union City Day Care, which is located at 219-47th Street, Union City Early Childhood Learning Center, which is located at 510-35th Street, and Le Petit Jardin, which is located in the Union City High School building. All institutions have been legally licensed by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families Bureau of Licensing.
The Union City Day Care Program was established in 1982 to offer daycare services to families that would otherwise be unable to afford high-quality daycare or learning institutions. The Union City Day Care Center (UCDC) was founded in 1983 to provide year-round subsidized child care services to qualifying Union City residents working full-time or enrolled full-time at an accredited educational institution via the Hudson County Urban League. The Union City Day Care extended its site in 1999 and started delivering free early childhood education to children aged three and four via the Abbott Program. In addition, an initiative grant provides free kindergarten education to qualified pupils.
The Union City Day Care Program also started a renovation and renovation project in midtown Union City in 1999 in preparation for the autumn 2000 inauguration of the Union City Early Childhood Learning Center (UCECLC). As a result, residents of Union City may take advantage of free preschool and pre-kindergarten programming at this institution.
In 2004, Le Petit Jardin was founded. This center, which is currently housed in the Union City High School Building, provides quality child care services to teen parents who are enrolled in the Parent Linking Program, which has a fully developed curriculum to address the developmental needs of the infant/toddler child(ren) born to these adolescents during school hours. Participants are obliged to attend weekly group sessions in addition to the standard academic curriculum necessary for graduation in return for free child care.
The child care program helps babies and toddlers develop their physical, cognitive, and psychosocial requirements in a warm, healthy, and developmentally stimulating atmosphere. They offer kids with oral language development and early literacy skills an integrated holistic and thematic approach to learning in the preschool, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten programs. The instructors will lead your kid through an engaging year of exploration, independence, responsibility acceptance, and self-confidence development. In their early education, students are exposed to a demanding curriculum in a caring and supportive atmosphere full of fun and excitement, laying the groundwork for their academic success. The Division of Family Development of the Department of Human Services defines eligibility conditions for child care programs, including registration dates, waiting list numbers, and slot eligibility for an age-appropriate component opening.
All Union City residents are welcome to enroll in the free preschool, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten programs, which the Union City Board of Education organizes. Race, religion, or financial position are not factors in the Union City Day Care Program. Learn more by calling (201) 348-2754.
